While we wait on our tush for Mazda to save up enough money for a new MPS model, the Japanse fanatics have begun tuning the Zoom Zoom offerings. We've just stumbled upon a seriously individualized example of the Mazda6 sedan which really got our attention for the right reasons.

A white Mazda6 (GJ) has been taken to the next level with the help of custom alloy wheels and a special body kit. The wheels are 20 inches tall and were created by renowned American firm Vossen. The VFS1 design is perfect for the understate beauty of this Japanse mid-size cruiser.

As for the rest of the cosmetic changes, they included lowered suspension, a carbon fiber front spoiler, side skirts and a very discrete trunk lid spoiler. These photos of the car were taken by a team of Vossen photographers who traveled to the 2015 Modera Japan Owners's Meet, held somewhere near mount Fuji.

We still remember the day we tested the brand new Mazda6 (called Atenza in Japan) like it was yesterday. The dealership gave us a full-spec red sedan with the biggest diesel engine and we were surprised by how refined it was. Even to this day, the stunning looks and the magical Skyactiv engineering almost tempt us to say this is the best mid-size sedan currently on the market.

Mazda really deserves a pat on the back. Because even though it doesn't sell 10 million cars per year like Volkswagen, it managed to increase sales and build exactly the cars people expect them to. Let's just hope the new MX-5 is as tunable as its predecessors, because with a rumored 155 hp max output, it's shaping up to a bit disappointing.
