Mazda is making the decision to buy a Three hatchback a little bit easier in Britain by introducing the 2016 Mazda6 Sport Black special edition mode.
It's got a sexy look, a standard Skyactiv-G 120 PS engine with a six-speed manual and will go on sale come April 1. No joke!

Unlike special editions from other companies, this one is dead-easy to figure out. You pay Mazda £20,995 and configure one of the two colors, Soul Red Metallic and Snowflake White Pearlescent. Both are usually expensive options, but come free of charge here.

The only engine available is a 2-liter one which at first glance seems very underpowered. It's got 120 horsepower and 210 Nm of torque, which is similar to what you get from a 1.0 TSI made by VW. But the Mazda3 has the best close-ratio manual gearbox and the best old-school feel. Therefore, you will be having a lot of fun on your way to 62 mph (in 8.9 seconds).

The Brilliant Black Sports Styling Kit is a fancy name for standard 18-inch Gunmetal alloy wheels, splitter, side skirts, rear bumper treatment and roof spoiler addons.

What's on the inside? Only black half leather/ half suede seats, bespoke carpet mats, BOSE Surround-Sound System, a reversing camera, Smart keyless entry, cruise control and dual-zone climate control. Fitted with Mazda’s MZD-Connect system, 7” color touchscreen display and Multimedia Commander, the Sport Black also benefits from navigation as standard.

“The Mazda3 is a core model in our line-up, one that continues to be popular with both private and fleet customers. I’m sure the Mazda3 Sport Black’s winning combination of extra equipment, distinctive styling enhancements and competitive price will make this a very popular addition to the already extensive Mazda3 range,” comments Peter Allibon, Sales Director of Mazda Motors UK.

Supply is going to be limited to just 800 units, and they should all sell pretty easily. These are only for the UK market, but you can order everything you see here as options across Europe, though not as one single package. Our favorite part is that it packs standard dual exhaust, but this has nothing to do with the Sport Black model.
