Skactiv-G, Skyactiv-D, Skyactiv-MT and soon… Skyactiv-CNG.
The now famous Japanese philosophy for making things go Zoom Zoom a little bit more efficiently will be used for the first time to burn compressed natural gas (CNG). Mazda officially made the announcement saying Skyactiv-CNG power will be previewed on the Mazda3 as a concept to be shown at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show next month.

Mazda already has the world's highest gasoline compression ratio of 14:1, and this appears to be the base for their CNG setup, which will be a ‘multi-solution’, meaning it burns both bas and CNG, depending.

The automaker will also show the Skyactiv-Hybrid motor, which pairs an electric motor with a specially-designed 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G gasoline engine.
