Mazda2 Donated to Devon Air Ambulance Trust Charity

Vospers Mazda Exeter and Mazda UK have donated towards the cost of the first prize of a Mazda2 1.3 petrol TS2, worth £11,900, to Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) in support of the charity’s Grand Summer Draw 2011, which is expected to generate in excess of £50,000 through ticket sales. In addition, a Mazda2 has been branded for the charity to take along to fund raising events around Devon to publicize the draw.

“We would like to thank Vospers Mazda and Mazda UK for their continued support, which makes a big difference to our fundraising. We very much look forward to working with Mazda again and continuing the successful partnership. Over the last three years the Grand Summer Draw has generated an income of £126,000. None of this would have been possible without corporate supporters such as Vospers Mazda, Bovey Castle and Francis Clark,” said Caroline Creer, Fundraising Director of Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

“We are very proud to continue our support of Devon Air Ambulance Grand Summer Draw for the fourth consecutive year.  The Draw plays an important role in generating income for Devon Air Ambulance Trust and we look forward to activating the 2011 support through insightful, engaging and fun events throughout the county,” added Peter Vosper, MD of Vospers Mazda.

The charity’s mission is to relieve sickness and injury in the county of Devon by assisting in the provision of an Air Ambulance Service, which costs in the region of £4.5 million to keep airborne each year.  DAAT’s vision is for Devon to have an outstanding, independent and efficient air ambulance service, available to all, 24 hours a day.

“The team and I are looking forward to launching the Devon Air Ambulance Trust Grand Summer Draw at the Devon County Show from Thursday 19th to Saturday 21st May at the Devon County Showground Westpoint.  We hope to generate a high number of ticket sales and interest from the people of Devon to kick-start the summer campaign,” Alex Bass, Dealer Principal, Vospers Mazda said.
