November seems to have been a good month for most automakers present on the US market, and Mazda makes no exception. They have announced their best November sales since 1994, which are 17.7% higher than those recorded last year, with a total of 21,691 vehicles sold.
The positive record stretches to their year-to-date sales through November, which have also gone up, by 9.1%, as Mazda has managed to sell a total of 249,795 vehicles in the given time frame. Two of Mazda’s compact models, the 2 and the 3 recorded impressive increases in sales, with the former selling 212% more than last year, while the later managing to sell 67% more than last year. Even the MX-5 is selling well, despite the fact that we are approaching winter, recording an increase of 21% over last year’s numbers.
Even their CX-9 large SUV, which was recently shown off with its new and improved family face, managed its best performance of the year, selling 2,285 vehicles, yet this is still some way behind the smaller and more efficient CX-5, a crossover built entirely with Mazda’s new SKACTIV philosophy in mind.
