Mazda MX-5 Super25 Concept Bows at 2012 SEMA

See that "55" written on this Mazda MX-5 Super25 Concept? The number hasn't been chosen in a random way to complete some visual scheme - it's here to remind us of Mazda's (only) Le Mans win in 1991.

This is because we are dealing with an endurance racer, one that's based on the Super20 Concept we showed you in the past.

The vehicle is dressed in a tri-color scheme using white racing stripes, rides on 17-inch Volk Racing wheels that use BFGoodrich g-force R1 rubber, while also featuring PIAA additional lights.

The interior has been stripped out to cut weight, so the driver uses a Sparco Evo racing bucket seat with a six-point harness and a motorsports steering wheel, as well as a special display in the dash, which is connected to an AiM MXL data acquisition system.

Mazda hasn't offered us the list of technical upgrades, but from what we can see in the images, the vehicle is wearing serious mods, such as a rollcage, a short-throw shifter and Brembo brakes.
