Mazda Motor Poland Names New Managing Director

Japanese manufacturer Mazda announced today its Polish subsidiary will get a new addition to the management team this month, namely Masaharu Kondo, appointed Managing Director.

Kondo will work with the General Manager of Mazda Motor Poland (MMPOL), Lukasz Pazdzior, and will be responsible for the brand activities carried out on the Polish market.

“I am very pleased to be a member of MMPOL team,”
said Masaharu Kondo. “I think Poland is one of the growth markets in Europe, and our research data shows that Mazda is a well-regarded automotive brand in this country."

"In addition, we have been establishing a strong sales network, and above all, we have very good MMPOL team with talented and enthusiastic people,"
Kondo continued.  "Based on such a foundation, I believe Mazda has great potential in Poland, and I would like to contribute to enhancing Mazda business further here.”

Kondo joined Mazda back in 1988, having been working mainly on product marketing, new model launch, customer satisfaction initiatives for Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

Besides his extensive contacts here Kondo-san also has many years of experience with the car business in Europe. The combination of Japanese experience and young Polish energy already proved successful when Shunsuke Hamamoto and Wojciech Halarewicz started Mazda Motor Poland in 2008,” Klaus Oest, Regional Director for North Europe at Mazda, said in a release. “For a young organization that has just started, it is important to get the best possible support from the head office.”
