Mazda and SOS Children’s Villages Renew Partnership

Mazda Motor Europe renewed the partnership with all of Mazda’s six national sales companies (Austria, Mazda BELUX,Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany and Hungary) for the second year. SOS Children’s Villages is an international, non-governmental organization that helps children and young people in need.

Mazda Motor Austria has donated a Mazda2 to the SOS Children’s Village in Moosburg. Mazda volunteers also organized a painting event for the children, who decorated a white MX-5 roadster at the village. A picture of this car was produced as a stamp that was sold to Mazda dealers to raise money.

Mazda BELUX (Belgium and Luxembourg) donated a new seven-seat Mazda5 to the Children's Village in Liedekerke, and paid all insurance on it for one year. Mazda Croatia renewed its support of the SOS Children's Village in Lekenik, where it will once again pay for electricity, water, gas, municipal services and all phone costs for seven different SOS Children’s Village homes.

Mazda Czech Republic donated a Mazda2 to an SOS Children’s Village. This vehicle will have a special exterior with the winning drawing on it from a competition amongst the children of a village. A picture of the car will be printed on Mazda’s company envelopes and other office materials.

Mazda Motors Deutschland will again donate funds to the SOS Children’s Village training centre in Nuremberg and to pay for a single apprentice's complete training. Mazda German volunteers also organized an MX-5 drawing competition, and the winning drawing was placed on a stamp that was sold to Mazda dealers in Germany.

Mazda Hungary is funding monthly trips made by children from various SOS Children’s Villages in Hungary to their biological parents, and will renovate the village’s playground. It also organize a fun celebrity Sushi cooking event for children at the SOS Children’s Village at Koszeg.
