Maybach Eyewear Collection Released

Luxury car manufacturer Maybach is at it again... No, we are not talking about building cars, but providing lifestyle accessories for its clients. This time, the name of the game is the eyewear collection, manufactured together with German specialist IVKO.

To be added to the top-class accessories range offered by Maybach, the glasses (common language, we know, but it's easier to spell) are defined by one of the following words: fine wood, leather, natural horn, titanium, 18-carat white, yellow and rose gold, Zeiss lenses. Sounds expensive...

To give the glasses (we'll still call them glasses) a more automotive feel, Maybach says it has directed IVKO to take inspiration from the luxury cars it releases from time to time. For instance, says the carmaker, “leather-trimmed arms feature an artistically inset Maybach logo, metal elements on the arms echo the door sill panels of the high-end saloons, the piano lacquer on the wood and carbon fibre arms recalls the finish of the trim strips in the interior. “

To be launched at the end of October as part of a pret-a-porter collection, the sunglasses will come in eight different models and nine colors. Ten spectacle frames in up to six colours will also be available.

The icing on the cake is the “Individual” collection, which will be made up of more or less natural elements like 18-karat gold and wood/carbon fiber combinations.

“The various models which make up the new MAYBACH EYEWEAR collection offer character and irresistible style,” Maybach says in a release. Prices for the eyewear collection have not yet been announced.
