If Lincoln had a badge with four rings like Audi, they would have Matthew McConaughey jumping through hoops for sure. Since 2014, the actor has played a poker player, stared down a bull and made booger balls for Lincoln. But now, he's a chauffeur for a couple of dogs.
You know what? McConaughey's Lincoln ads are still amusing, so we'll show you one more. It's for the 2016 Navigator, which the company has started promoting. Apparently, where old-school 4x4 and new-school technology meet, you have the perfect SUV for carrying dogs in total comfort.

In the old days, people bought a Range Rover and filled the trunk with hounds when going fox hunting. But these two dogs aren't stuck in the trunk; they get special treatment sitting in comfortable leather chairs and talking to the guy every woman wanted to marry... 10 years ago. Instead of a good workout in the forest, they're also getting fast food, which is the American way of doing things.

Car commercials featuring dogs have been around for decades. But they've been increasing in popularity recently. It's almost as if the marketing teams are turning to canines every time they need an SUV to stay off the dirt. Subaru makes the most such clips, but Toyota, Nissan, and even Volkswagen dabble.

Lincoln also released a press statement about its linebacker/actor debut in the Navigator. It's about how the ad is perfect for the Grammy Night premiers and how the Navigator is awesome. None of what they saw will earn them customers, but at least we can bring you guys some cool facts.

For example, this ad departs from those of the Lincoln MKZ and MKZ Hybrid, MKC and MKX. That's because McConaughey is piloting the 2016 Navigator during the day, on a rural road. We know some of you dog lovers will ask us what breeds the pooches are. Thankfully, Lincoln told us that they are a German shorthair pointer and a Weimaraner. How factual!

"Lincoln and I wanted the new ad to be more lighthearted and fun, so when they pitched the 'driving with dogs' idea I was in. People love their dogs, I've got three myself, and yes, I, like most of you, even talk to them," said McConaughey.
