It was 2010 when BMW announced the M variant of the 1 Series Coupe. Everyone watched it on Youtube and official press releases and the world almost lost its mind over it.
Three years later, the car is no longer in production and only 6,331 of them were ever made but boy oh boy do they look awesome? Some went ever further from the original BMW design and look even better.
It's the case with the Matte Yellow 1M we're showing you today. It hails from Jakarta and is one of the best looking 1ers we've ever seen. The number of changes that it underwent is impressive but don't worry we'll tell you all about it, in case you want to do the same to your car.
First of all, the performance figures were changed using an Akrapovic exhaust, IPE downpipes, Manhart Racing Stage 2 tuning, AFE dual cone air intake and Revolution Charge pipes.
The exterior received the full M exterior aerodynamics parts possible, including a carbon fibre trunk spoiler, an M rear diffuser, CF kidney grilles, CF mirrors, CF roof, LUX angel eyes and, of course, matte yellow body wrap (that's just stunning).
The interior now has a BMW performance steering wheel, the seats have carbon fibre backs and AC-Schnitzer pedals. The finishing touch is a set of ultra-light BBS RID Wheels that measure 19x8.5 inches at the front and 19x10'' at the back, combined with 4 Michelin PSS tires.
