People buy the current M5 mostly for what it says about them. It’s a car that basically guarantees that the person inside it is accomplished and can afford to run a 4.4-liter twin turbo engine and its 560 HP. With a starting price of just under $100,000, all of this is quite obvious.
However, no matter how serious, accomplished and sober most of the prospective drivers/owners might be, some people still go over the line with their tuning. Far from us to criticize anyone’s taste (De gustibus non est disputandum) but we have to admit some creations are not to everyone’s liking.

This BMW M5 is looking absolutely great from certain angles. It’s also great to listen to as it received some AMD Catless downpipes and a full Meisterschaft exhaust system but something’s not quite right.

The exterior Matte Blue wrap is probably the most attractive thing about it. Chip in the Vorsteiner carbon fibre bits and pieces (front lip spoiler and rear diffuser), the iND painted cosmetic package and lowered stance (thanks to a KW V3 coilover system) and you’ve got quite a looker.

What we don’t like, though, are those gold wheels. ADV.1 makes some really impressive designs, these ADV5.2 included but that color simply doesn’t really integrate into the overall package. It stands out too much and doesn’t mix with the rest of it. Anything else would’ve made a lot more sense.

Even so, the upgraded engine (via a Stage 1 Burger Motorsport tune) and the new brakes (Brembo GT big brake kit) will make sure you forget all about it, once you’re inside the car. This M5 now has 620 HP and at the wheels and 589 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque at the wheels. Impressive!
