Racing is a drug, we all know it. Jump behind the wheel of a truly powerful car, find a race track and you'll feel the adrenaline moving through your veins.
We all agree that races are awesome, regardless if we're talking about Formula 1, NASCAR, MotoGP, Le Mans, DTM or WRC.
It's not only the speed that makes them attractive, it's also probably the same adrenaline factor we were talking about above that makes everybody, including the driver, the team and the fans, enjoy the race between two or more cars.
Unfortunately, accidents happen and over the years, it proved incredibly difficult to prevent tragedies, such as the death of drivers, team members or spectators. It's not enough to fasten the seatbelt, as we all do every morning, it all comes down to very advanced safety systems that in some cases are usually developed only after someone loses his life.
We're not making a top and we won't talk about death, but we're going to mention some of the most spectacular, amazing, terrible and famous high-speed crashes seen over the years in motorsport. So get a soda and prepare for some very interesting footage. Please be aware that some of the clips may contain violent and disturbing content.
