Massa Will Name His First Son Felipe

Now that he has officially taken the rest of the 2009 season off racing – a forced ousting from the sport as a result of his traumatic accident at the Hungaroring – Felipe Massa can enjoy his personal life alongside wife Rafaela. Talking to British newspaper The Guardian on Sunday, the 28-year old revealed he will name his first born child Felipe.

I am very excited. The baby is due just after the middle of November – and we know it is a boy. We will call him Felipe,” admitted Massa in the aforementioned interview.

With the birth of his child due to take place in November, there is little doubt Massa will forget about this year the easily in the future. The 2009 Formula One season brought him some rather contradictory situations: fighting for his life in the hospital and waiting for the birth of his son.

I don't think I will ever forget 2009 because of this crash and, more importantly, becoming a father. Positive things come out of even the most difficult times,” added the Brazilian driver.

Massa is currently recovering from his skull surgery in Sao Paolo's Albert Einstein hospital. The Ferrari driver's plastic surgery lasted for 4 hours and a half yesterday and had a positive outcome, as reported by a press release posted on Ferrari's official site.

The 28-year old Brazilian is to be released from the hospital in short time, after which he is expected to resume his physical treatment at his home in Sao Paolo.
