Mass Production Koenigsegg Agera R Coming in Geneva

Not much is known about the Koenigsegg Agera R and every time the supercar manufacturer shows something new it keeps all things secret until the very last moment. Last year, Koenigsegg unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show the Agera and this year it gears up to push things to another level.

Koenigsegg recently created a one-off Agera R for the Oman Royal family and, even if lots of people were astonished to see a bunch of information regarding the vehicle, only a little is known about it. The generated power has been increased from 910 hp on the regular Agera to 1,100 hp, while the car also employs a few aerodynamic improvements, obviously supported to back the huge power it develops.

Well, according to carsuk.net, Christian von Koenigsegg liked the Agera R so much that he intends to mass produce the vehicle, with a first glimpse into how the final model would look like to be offered at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show taking place in March.

More information will be provided as we get closer to the show's debut but expect the R to be much more powerful than the "regular" Agera revealed one year ago. Technical wise, the engine fitted on the Agera is a 4.7-liter V8 that produces 898 horsepower at 6,850 rpm and 1,100 Nm of torque at 5,100 rpm. The car weighs 1,290 kilos so it's able to sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 3.1 seconds and reach 200 km/h in 8.9 seconds. The maximum speed goes as high as 390 km/h.
