Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S Award Edition Revealed Ahead of Geneva Debut

Maserati has prepared a special version for the Quattroporte Sport GT S, called the Awards Edition, which will be presented at the Geneva Auto Show. This has been created to celebrate the luxury sport saloon’s sixth year on the market. The Quattroporte Sport GT S Awards Edition will come dressed in a “melted Quartz” paint, that has an iridescent effect. The car’s chromed parts (side air intake and radiator grille) now come in a brown finish. To complete the color scheme, the fresh incarnation of the Quattroporte rides on dark gray 20 inch Multi Trident alloy rims with a satin finish. The Quattroporte Awards Edition’s brake calipers come in a mirror finish - a world's first. These have been specially developed in collaboration with Brembo. The exquisite saloon treats its passengers with Bolognese Poltrona Frau leather upholstery, assorted with perforated Alcantara. The car’s interior also features piano black wood trimming and brushed aluminum door sills. Unfortunately, no changes have been made to the technical specs of the car. So, we have the same 4.7 liter V8 engines, that delivers 440 HP and 490 Nm of torque, matted to the GT S version’s semi-automatic six-speed gearbox. This propels the car past the 100 km/h mark in 5.1 seconds and gives it a top speed of 285 km/h. autoevolution will be attending the 2010 Geneva Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
