Such a lively hydraulic steering, a popping exhaust and a soundproofing that allows you to feel the speed. Such assets are rarely found in the luxury sedan class, especially together. Well, this is exactly what the Maserati Quattroporte GTS has in store for us.
We’re enjoying all these goodies from the incredibly soft leather of the Quattroporte. This is nicely matched with all the wood you’ll ever need. Yes, Maserati’s flagship sedan certainly knows how to juggle with the two sides any good Grand Tourer must display.

The car has grown in length, but they’ve put quite a lot of engineering into the new platform, so you won’t feel its size out on the open road. The twin-turbo V8 up front, which is built by Ferrari, is also a doll. They’ve put a highly torque-abundant character into it, so it’s always there for you.

The Maserati Quattroporte had had to wait until this sixth generation in order to become fully mature, but now it’s a really viable proposition.

Alas, in this transformation process, some of the car’s bits have become a bit more mainstream. We’ll name them, as well as the other spicy bits, in our 2014 Maserati Quattroporte GTS test drive.
