Even if the automotive industry is experiencing one of the most difficult period of its lifetime, the Middle East seems to be the friendliest markets when it comes to state-of-the-art and very expensive models. Maserati wants to fully benefit from this fact and introduced the GranTurismo S MC Sport Line limited edition with Matt White ICE finish, a range that will comprise only a total of 12 units.
The models have already been presented to a number of customers at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi.
In case you're wondering what's the reason behind the 12-unit limited series, you should know that it also represents the number of titles won by the MC12 in the Fiat GT International Championship since 2005. Additionally, 12 is also the number of cities in the Middle East in which Maserati actually sells its cars. As a result, each of the 12 cars will come with a special plaque featuring the name of the city it will be sold in.
Since we're talking about a limited edition, the cars will employ a number of exclusive enhancements, including a tweaked suspension that lowers the body by 10 mm plus new anti-roll bars that cut the roll by 20 percent. Other features include carbon fiber mirror housings and handles, black exhaust pipes, body colored door handles, black window surrounds and rear lip spoiler.
Beside the Middle East, Maserati is also preparing a special edition of the GranTurismo S MC Sport Line for the Italian market. It will be finished in Matt Bianco Fuji and will comprise a total of 11 units.
