Maseratti recently announced it is recalling certain units of the Granturismo due to a taillamp issue that could cause these lights to fail altogether. The safety campaign affects a total of 1,768 units of the coupe, with these belonging to the 2008-1020 model years, which might have been assembled with faulty rear lights - both the tail and the brake lights could fail.
This could obviously cause a crash, so the campaign is scheduled to debut this month, with Maserati replacing the parts free of charge after inspecting them. We have to ad that this is especially dangerous, since we’re talking about a high performance car, which is more likely to be driven at higher speeds and is fitted with brakes that can generate serious deceleration rates.
