Maserati has joined forces with Italian luxury brand Poltona Frau and the two have selected the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour to showcase their collaboration, using a week-long event for this.
Poltona Frau has a tradition of 100 years in building high end furniture, and the leather work and hand work skills gained allowed the company to work with Maserati, realizing the interior of all the carmaker’s vehicles, GranTurismo coupe, the GranCabrio convertible and the Quattroporte saloon.

Between today and Friday, June 22, the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, UK, will showcase a GranCabrio Sport and will see a skilled artisan upholsterer working on a chair in order to demonstrate how Maserati interior are made.

Here’s what Maserati had to say: “For Maserati, customization is a high priority and Poltrona Frau fine leather is used for seats, dashboards and door panels. The leather goes through a special 21 step tanning process in order to create the finest quality. The result is leather that is soft and comforting in winter and cool in summer. ”
