A recent declaration from AC Management, the company that manages brothers Alex and Marc Marquez, confirms that the two have severed their commercial relations with Valentino Rossi's VR46 Racing Apparel.
We reported that Marquez was (back then) rumored to cease his commercial ties with Rossi's company after the decay of their relationship in the wake of the race at Sepang last year and the way the 2015 MotoGP championship ended.

Rossi's company VR46 Racing Apparel used to manufacture the official apparel and merchandise for Marc, and, in the light of the new events, his brother Alex. One of the big names in the apparel business, Rossi's company also has many other celebrities among its customers, both in MotoGP and other powersports.

No word on severance claims

Reportedly, Marc Marquez's contract with Rossi should have expired at the end of this year, so him pulling away from the deal might attract some damage claims from VR46 Racing Apparel. So far, there is no word on how much MM93 (and possibly, his brother Alex) will have to fork out after ending the contract prematurely.

Of course, we might never get to learn anything about the check (if there will be one), but we just know that there are a lot of Rossi fans out there who are hunting high and low for such details, ready to make them public.

"Barcelona, 8th February 2016

AC Management, company in charge of managing the image rights of the riders Marc Márquez and Alex Márquez, informs that they have agreed with the Company VR46 Racing Apparel, S.r.l. to terminate the license agreements previously in force and under which the latter was in charge of the exploitation of both riders’ merchandising.

Both parties appreciate services rendered while the agreement was in force and wish each other success in future endeavors,
" MM93 management said.

Marquez' management, Alzamora Communications, has not indicated who will take care of the apparel manufacturing from now on, but all the rumors see the brothers joining the customers of Spanish maker GP Racing Apparel, alongside the likes of Jorge Lorenzo, Andrea Dovizioso, Andrea Iannone, Nicky Hayden, Alex Rins, and the late Marco Simoncelli.

The GP Rooms belongs to the Nieto family, who are close to Rossi, so no Marquez will use them again

In addition to ending the business with Rossi, the Marquez brothers will also cease to rent rooms from GP Rooms. GP Rooms is a paddock room rental business that belongs to the Nieto family. Yes, we are talking about the family of famous former racer Angel Nieto, who openly supported Rossi after the Sepang incident.

Making things even worse from Marquez's point of view is the fact that Pablo Nieto, Angel's son, is the manager of Rossi's Sky VR46 team he fields in Moto3. As always, we just cannot wait to see how all this enmity will look on the race track.
