Marchionne's Dodge Challenger SRT8 to Be Auctioned Off

Most high-ranking automotive officials are actually chauffeured around, but Chrysler and Fiat CEO is often seen behind the wheel of the latest cars his company makes. One of these is a black-on-black Dodge Challenger SRT8.

A co-workers of Marchionne, one Ralph Gilles, said this is Sergio's daily drive, and we can kind of see why. It's about as cool and masculine as chopping wood or hunting for bears with a blunt knife.

Now you too can look as cool as Marchionne, because he's selling the Challenger at the upcoming Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Palm Beach, Florida.

There's not much else about this car besides the celebrity CEO ownership to make it special. Its black paintjob is only broken by a couple of Dark Charcoal racing stripes. The muscle car has also been fitted with adjustable suspension and 20-inch wheels.

In case you're wondering about the power, this is a stock SRT8, so it has a 6.4-liter HEMI engine with 470 hp and 470 lb-ft (636 Nm) of torque.

If you'd like to own a car that belonged to the Chrysler CEO, bidding will take place next month at the event scheduled between April 4th and the 6th.

“It gives me great pleasure to thank Sergio Marchionne and Chrysler Group for their commitment to Detroit and its surrounding communities,” said Michael J. Brennan, President and CEO of United Way for Southeastern Michigan, the beneficiary of this auction.
