MapMyIndia Launches Trailblazer 2 Motorcycle GPS

The rise in Indian motorcycle sales and the increase of touring-worthy bikes has determined the local GPS, location solutions and GIS expert company MapMyIndia to release a new navigation unit designed for bike use: the Trailblazer 2, a 3.5" touchscreen device.

Obviously drawing its cues from the TomTom Rider, the MapMyIndia Trailblazer 2 comes with a 500 mHz CPU running Windows CE 6.0 and 2 GB of internal storage, upgradable with an additional 4GB SD card.

Just like any modern bike GPS, the MapMyIndia Trailblazer 2 comes with Bluettoh support and 3D maps, can play video and audio files and is waterproof. The unit comes with a special mounting clamp and can be easily detached when leaving the motorcycle.

A bluetooth headset is offered as optional accessory, but the stylus, bike charger, USB cable and manual are included in the package. The MapMyIndia Trailblazer 2 retails for 16,990 Indian Rupees ($284 or €215) and there's no telling whether it supports other navigation systems, too.
