Manual Porsche 911 GT3 RS Lapping Nurburgring in 7:22 Will Give You Stickgasms

Tons and tons of pages have been written on the Porsche-991-GT3-RS-is-missing-a-manual topic and while we can't add the third pedal to the Rennsport Neunelfer, we're here to give you the next best thing, namely a 997 GT3 RS lapping the Nordschleife almost as quick as the PDK machine.

The piece of footage at the bottom of the page shows a slightly tuned 997 GT3 (no, it's not a 4.0), going round the Nordschleife in 7:22, which puts it just two seconds behind the two-pedal GT3 RS.

As for the custom setup used by the rear-engined devil, this comes from Porsche-obsessed German specialist Kaege. The developer has worked on the tarmac connection of the Neunelfer, gifting the supercar with a custom, track-savvy wheel alignment, while also installing a pair of racing slicks.

The clip brings us action from two cameras, one of which allows us to see the driver working his way through the gears. However, while we can't check out the pedals, the soundtrack makes on thing clear: the guy in the driver's seat doesn't go for the heel-and-toe action.

Truth be told, this isn't the first time when we see a driver who achieves a praise-worthy lap time skipping the pedal dance and focusing on the challenges posed by the Green Hell. Interstinly, the most recent example of this also comes from an aftermarket specialist that wanted to prove a point with its Ring time, this time using a BMW M2.

The GT3 RS was lucky enough to encounter light traffic, having attempted the lap on a public day. However, as the screenshot above comes to prove, this doesn't mean the traffic in this video should be taken lightly.

Given the length of the video we have here, this should quench your Rennsport Neunelfer cog-swapping thirst, so we're inviting you to hit the "play" button below.
