Usually, we're showing all the test drives out there for specific cars, so that you can have your pick and decide which one is best for your needs, in case you want a BMW. This time though, we're telling you about a test-drive before it was officially published.
The guys from Road and Track are currently testing BMW's new M6 Gran Coupe and they just wanted to share some numbers with us, to show you just how fast the car is.

Of course, the first thing they tested was the acceleration. They were amazed of just how fast the 2 tone car was. According to their measurements, it reached 60 mph in 3.9 seconds. Doesn't seem like it's that fast, huh? With a manual gearbox! Are you convinced yet?

Furthermore, the same car did the quarter mile in 12.1 seconds with 120 mph (180 km/h) at the end of the run. That's also pretty impressive, for a car that will comfortably carry 4 people and their luggage at any given moment, in one of the most luxurious interiors you can find on the market today.

We can't wait for the complete test to arrive and see what else they find. We'll keep you posted!

Hat tip to Jalopnik!
