"Don't tune-up your Model S" was the advice given by Elon Musk on several occasion to those looking to imbue their all-electric sedans. But Mansory didn't listen.
For some customers, things are quite simple when they buy a new car. The "to tune or not to tune?" question pops up in their head, so all they have to do is give a simple answer: yes or no.

A few Tesla Model S owners have the same existential, first-world problem, despite the fact that Elon Musk is against this tuning practice. We are too, but for different reasons: the Model S should be left alone just the way it is since from where we're standing, tuning attempts on it have a high chance of failing.

Of course, Musk's concerns are related to the vehicle's electrical powertrain and the fact that the Model S is, after all, an expensive and sensitive piece of equipment.

We're sorry about this long lecture; we'll cut to the chase now. Mansory came up with a tuning kit for the Model S, which will be unveiled next week at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Yes, we're talking about the same tuning firm that usually transforms regular Mercedes-Benz cars into street-legal monsters. But they were wise enough to leave the Model S' powertrain untouched, so all they did was embroider the exterior and the interior with green accents.

They also claim the car's weight was reduced by using carbon fiber panels to create an aero kit made of integrated LED daytime running lights, side skirts plus a rear spoiler and diffuser. Inside, those eccentric enough to buy the tuning pack will be greeted with more green accents strategically placed on the sports steering wheel, dashboard, seats, doors, and armrest.

That being said, we'll leave you with the photo gallery and as usual, we're requesting your opinion on this tuning kit. So, what's it going to be? Yay or nay?
