Mansory Reveals New Carbon Kit for Mercedes-Benz G-Class

If we told you that this is a more subtle body kit from Mansory, you guys wouldn't believe us. The 4x4 is bright yellow, covered with LEDs and custom details. But compared to the established Gronos, this is an understatement.

By the look of things, this is Mansory's kit for people with a regular G-Class, not the AMG or the 4x4. But considering how extensive the mods are, anything is possible. It will fit the European models like the 350d and even the V8 ones.

Compared to the Gronos, the fender flares on this kit are much more subtle. And because the parts have to work together, so are the bumpers. Still, about 40mm of extra width is added when compared to a standard G550.

The style of the front bumper is similar to the one used by the AMG factory kit, but with black bars running across three of the four frontal intakes. Two strips of LEDs can be seen at the bottom of the spoiler, mirrored by the accessory lights perched on top of the windshield. For the record, the Gronos uses four large projectors up top in the same style as the Ener-G-Force Concept.

Mansory says that the kit can be fabricated from clear-coated carbon fiber, a fact that's clearly visible on the custom hood. Door handles, mirror housings, headlight pannels - everything is customizable.

As for the wheels, the tuner offers 21-, 22- and 23-inch alloys. In this case, we got to see the 23 M8 design in gloss black and shod in 305/35R23 rubber. It makes you wonder how they kept everything clean during the Nevada desert photo shoot.

The rear view is the least busy, but Mansory couldn't resist adding its name to the carbon fiber spare wheel cover. A yellow wing towers over the boxy SUV, while the skirt adds a bit of sporty appeal.

In the event that the base car is a G63, Mansory says it can tweak the engine to deliver 840 hp and a whopping 1,150 Nm (841 lb-ft) of torque.
