The Mercedes-AMG GT tuned by Mansory was last seen during its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Back then, it had a gunmetal gray brushed finished with several dark carbon-fiber trim pieces.
That's all perfectly fine if you live in Germany, where everything is the color of cement. But what if you want to cruise the streets of Paris or Monaco in your freshly tuned car, attracting attention everywhere you go? Not a problem at all, since Mansory has revealed the second project car and it's a very bright shade of metallic orange.
Refining supercars has always been the primary business for Mansory. However, the recent boom in carbon fiber technology has opened up new possibilities for them.
Where you only saw colored carbon on exotics like the Pagani Zonda and Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse, nowadays it's available on a little Mercedes 4-liter V8 costing less than €200,000. And we do mean that quite literally, as the AMG engine has been covered in the super-lightweight material.
The package proposed by the European customizer starts out really strong with some fender flares and enlarged bumpers. A carbon fiber chin spoiler and the carbon hood also immediately draw attention. The matte gray car from Geneva also featured an oversized rear wing, but the orange one went without it.
The AMG GT sits 25mm wider than the standard model and the fenders are filled by 21-inch 10-spoke central lock Mansory SPYDER wheels. As for the interior, while each car is bespoke to the owner, the main ingredients include fine leather, Alcantara, carbon inlays and aluminum pedals.
As for the under-the-hood stuff, this 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 isn't allowed to take the competition lightly. Its output has been increased from 510 to 730 730 horsepower which translates into a 0-100 km/h time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h.
