"Not a day without Mansory" goes the saying, or something like that, so here is the German tuner with another complete package, for the Mercedes-AMG G63 this time.
Along with the Porsche Cayenne, this model is something of a tuners' favorite, and it's easy to see why. It's got plenty of power to begin with, and the 5.5-liter V8 is a very flexible mechanism, as Brabus has proven time and time again.

Apart from that, the G63 has got this rare combination of serious, elegant and menacing looks that is hard to come by. Of course, after Mansory is through with a car, the "elegant" part is scratched right off, and sometimes even the "serious" one, even though that might not be intentional.

This G63 Gronos Black Edition features Mansory's specialty, carbon fiber, all over its body. Every added or modified piece of the body kit is made of the lightweight stuff, and to make sure nobody misses that, the car is finished in a patterned matte coat.

Despite a plethora of air vents and grilles, the front of the car is actually less aggressive thanks to some rounded shapes that make the G look slightly friendlier. The 40 mm wider fenders, on the other hand, make the Gronos look very planted, as do the 23-inch wheels they're hiding.

Those four added spotlights on the roof sit in a carbon fiber housing, matched by the similarly shaped spoiler in the back made from the same material. Other than that, the rear of the car is pretty plain.

The interior, however, is not. This is where Mansory remembered who they were and went a bit crazy. The pattern that looked OK on the outside has no business featuring on interior surfaces, but it does and there's plenty of it. The steering wheel is plain bad while the "Gronos Black Edition" in the middle looks like it's a detachable pin. There's the usual amount of quilted leather in a black and white combination, but next to this horrid carbon fiber, it suddenly becomes classy. And if you feel there's something odd about the top of the dash, that's because that whole carbon fiber structure is an add-on. Might as well be a clip-on based on how it looks.

The idea is simple: Mansory has managed to make a decent looking tuned version of the AMG G63, but it screwed up its interior. Well, in our book, that's a step forward for them.
