We are now introducing one of the most extreme tuning projects that will rock the Geneva Auto Show. We are talking about the Mansory Cormeum Mercedes SLS AMG. This is one of the Swiss company’s “hate it or love it” carbon fiber projects, which brings a radical makeover for the German supercar.

As usual, we shall start with the engine mods. The vehicle’s 6.3 liter V8 has lost its natural aspirated status, being gifted with a set of compressors and also receiving other mods, such as a stainless steel exhaust system and now delivers 660 hp. In addition to that, Mansory announced that it is developing an 800 hp version of the powerplant.

The extensive use of carbon fiber allows the vehicle to lose 90 kg (198 lbs). The vehicle’s body kit makes it 66 mm wider at the front and 84 mm wider at the rear, with the car riding 22 mm closer to the road thanks to a revised suspension. The tuned creation sits on custom lightweight alloy rims (front: 20-inch, rear: 21-inch), which use Michelin tires (front: 265/30, rear 295/25).

As for the interior, this comes with a special leather finish that comes with decorative stitching, a new steering wheel, aluminum pedals and carbon fibber trimming. The Swiss aftermarket developer announced that it will only produce 15 units of the kit.

Our say: Yes, we’re curious about the Ferrari 599-esque headlights too.

autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
