Back in September, Mansory introduced a “full-throttle” tuning program for the BMX X5 M, a SUV that is already a wild beast in factory stock form. Now, the Swiss tuner has decided to offer a similar modification kit for the X5 M’s nonidentical twin, the X6 M.
The SAV’s 4.4 liter biturbo V8 powerplant has been fitted with a new exhaust system and has received an ECU remap. The unit, which delivers 555 hp and a peak torque of 680 Nm when it leaves the BMW factory, now allows the driver to punish all four wheels with 670 hp and a maximum torque of 950 Nm.
All this muscle allows the X6 to leave the 62 mph (100 km/h) mark behind in a supercar-rivaling 4.2 seconds. In addition to that, the tuner has overridden the vehicle’s electronic top speed limiter, allowing the car to take its passengers past the 186 mph (300 km/h) mark.
To cope with the extra power, the vehicle has been fitted with a sports suspension that brings it closer to the road by 40 mm (1.57 inch). The car now rides on 23-inch M10 cast, monoblock rims that come with 315/25R23 tires. The stopping power has also been upgraded, as the car has received a high-performance braking system.
The tuned creation can easily be distinguished by its aggressive body kit, which makes it wider (70mm at the front and 80 mm at the rear) and fits it with LED daytime running lights. The aerodynamic package includes multiple elements, such a redesigned front bumper with large air intake and a rear diffuser that houses four stainless steel exhaust pipes.
Mansory also the customer to create a personalized interior, combining materials such as leather, Alcantara, wood, carbon or aluminum. The vehicle can be fitted with “just about any technical gadget imaginable”.
