Everyone loves a success story, especially if it comes with some struggle in the beginning. And car collector and real estate mogul Manny Khoshbin knows that, as he shares inspirational post including his wife and a one-off Bugatti Type 57C.
Social media is all about #goals. Be it body, car, lifestyle goals, you can find it online. Social media influencers usually have a success story, and everyone loves that.
Manny Khoshbin is just like that. As of 2021, he had secured himself a net worth of $80 million, which is downright impressive. He started in real estate, and now he’s reached “mogul” status. And the "mogul" has quite a car collection.
But the Iranian doesn’t own your typical cars and most often goes for exotic models or unique ones. His recent Instagram post confirms that, because it’s a shot of him and his beautiful wife, Leyla Milani, and a one-off Bugatti Type 57C.
Once owned by Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the Shah, of Iran from 1941 to 1979, this 57C is nothing but glorious.
The Type 57 Bugatti is powered by a then-advanced 3.3-liter twin-cam straight-eight engine. In 1937, the French manufacturer added the “supercharged” version with 160 horsepower, known as the Type 57C, which took two years to build. The French government offered the vehicle as a wedding gift to Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who had it until 1959.
The car remained though in the Royal Garage until 1979 and ended up in the hands of people who had no idea how precious it was. It was almost scraped, but eventually sold for an amount equivalent to approximately $275. Several Bugatti enthusiasts owned the vehicle until it received a complete restoration in 1983.
In July 2021, Petersen Automotive Museum dropped the Type 57C, alongside an EB110, for a special photoshoot for Manny Khoshbin. Now, he shared an inspirational post with the vintage vehicle, writing: “Coming from being homeless to now sitting in a one-off Bugatti that was once owned by Shah of Iran is unthinkable alone, then to marry the most beautiful woman that shares my drive and passion is on another level! Dream Big and Never Give UP!”
Needless to say, the Type 57C is the star of the picture.
