Manly Clothing Line for Manly Men, by James May

Are you tired of the so-called metrosexual men of modern day, the ones that spend, just like a woman, a small fortune on clothes and shoes and a considerable amount of time admiring themselves in the mirror? Worry no more, James May has picked up tailoring...

The Man Lab, the Top Gear host calls his creation. Not so much of a lab, but an idea, one that simply states that men should be men, and not some hairy versions of the females. That is, men should not wear bling-bling pants or shiny shoes, but, why not, blue overalls (that's boilersuits, for you Brits). We'll let May explain, as he did for The Telegraph:

“I woke up one morning and realised that one of the problems with being a middle-aged man - of being a man in general - is the tyranny of fashion. I can’t stand the need to be fashionable. I know this will come as something of a surprise to you, but I spend a great deal of money on clothes.”

“So I thought 'well, what if a man could wake up every morning and pick out of one his boilersuits from his wardrobe?’ You could have one for everyday wear, one for special occasions, and you could attach various bits and bobs to it; shirt collars, tails, and so on.”

And here you have it, the Man Lab collection by James May. Like it, buy it, and the next time you go to the big meeting with the big boss that flew in the big plane over the big sea (that's one too many “bigs,” we're sure), dump the suit. Put the overall. The one that has “for big meeting with the big boss that...” written all over it. And grab a hammer instead of a pen, while you're at it.
