Manhart Racing seems to be pretty focused on becoming the number one tuning option for BMWs in Germany these days. The tuner decided to expand its portfolio with another model, as soon as the BMW M235i was launched.
The new M Performance Automobile from Bavaria is quite a tempting proposition in the stock guise. Getting it on steroids is an indecent proposal to most of us.

With a 3-liter turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine under the bonnet making 326 HP and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, the M235i can do 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 4.8 seconds with the automatic 8-speed gearbox (0.2 seconds slower otherwise). That’s most impressive for a RWD car. Get it with xDrive starting this summer and you’ll shave 0.2 extra seconds off that time.

Now imagine what the Manhart version is capable of since the tuner took the ‘heart’ up to 403 HP and 561 Nm (414 lb-ft) of torque in a ‘heartbeat’. No pun intended ! Such levels of power sent to the rear wheels require a plethora of new parts in a variety of places.

The suspension was changed with a KW system as well as the brakes, wheels and the exhaust that is now wearing the Manhart signet. Out to the back, a limited-slip differential was also installed, coming from Quaife.

Inside, you get a roll-cage to protect you in case you decide to take it too far and some nice bucket seats from Recaro, with 6-point harnesses. Unfortunately, we don’t have an official price for all of this but we’ll let you know as soon as we find out anything.
