Manhart Racing Releases Teaser of Future MH7 Model Based on the 2016 BMW 7 Series

It’s all but clear that BMW won’t be making an M7 anytime soon. Various officials denied such ‘ludicrous’ rumors time after time, including a possible M Performance version. The obvious choice everyone would go to would be the Alpina B7 Biturbo model. The Buchloe-based company is already testing a couple of prototypes around Germany and will probably have a fully-operational model out by the end of the year.

We’re expecting their version of BMW’s flagship to have around 600 HP and 800 Nm of torque, plenty for a car that actually lost weight from one generation to the other. As far as luxury goes, there’s little you can ask for that Alpina can’t provide.

However, that could be looked at as too tame and a certain amount of people might be willing to spend more in order to get more. That’s where companies like Manhart Racing step in.

The Germans just published a teaser photo of how their take on the car would look like and it’s definitely not for everyone. It’s not that it looks bad, but I don’t think it fits the 7 Series’ character.

They added a blacked out kidney grille up front along with a carbon fiber splitter on the bumper, new wheels from their own collection, a side skirt extension as well as one of their trademark stripes on the side. The car was already wearing an M Sport body kit which made it more aggressive in the first place.

Under the bonnet, judging by the MH7 700 name, we should expect around 700 HP coming in from the new 4.4-liter V8 biturbo engine. Considering that, in stock guise, the N63 unit makes 450 HP and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, that’s going to be quite an increase...
