Manhart Presents the 375 HP BMW X4

It didn’t take too long for Manhart to bring out a first tuning kit for the new X4, and it’s pretty impressive as well. How does 375 HP and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque sound like? Good? Well, that’s what they’re offering.

The car they used as a starting point is not the one we tested, the xDrive35i as everyone expected. Instead, they picked the top of the range model, that is incidentally a diesel. The BMW X4 xDrive35d is the fastest model of the range and the most powerful.

Fitted with a 3-liter biturbo diesel engine making 313 HP and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque, the oil burner will do 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.2 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than the petrol alternative.

With Manhart’s stage 1 kit under the bonnet, it will reach new heights of performance. 375 HP and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque are numbers dangerously close to the ones the N57S tri-turbo diesel engine from the M50d X5 brags with. Actually, the torque figure is the same while the horsepower counter lacks around 6 HP.

The car also received a Sport Lowering springs kit and some Manhart Concave One wheels measuring 21 inches. All in all, it’s a thing of beauty and power that won’t go down that easy and could rival Alpina’s XD3.

With the new specs, we’re also suspecting the Manhart X4 to reach the benchmark speed of 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 5 seconds but we’ll have to wait and see if we’re correct as the guys didn’t provide any info in this regard just yet.
