Last week, we caught German BMW tuner Manhart Racing teasing us with a photo of a blacked out M235i on Facebook. After a couple of inquiries and talks with the company we can now confirm that there is a 400 HP model in the works, as we speak.
According to Manhart’s spokesperson, the MH2 400 Clubsport car is going to be a pure two-seater, fitted with a roll cage and over 400 HP. That’s great news, as we expected, the Coupe seemingly going to be faster than its hatchback brother, the MH1 400 model.

The same N55 engine was taken in that car up to 403 HP and 561 Nm (414 lb-ft) of torque from the stock 320 HP and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. Those are drastic power increases, close to what the upcoming M3 and M4 will be making, with their twin turbo inline 6-cylinder 3-liter S55 units, making 431 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque.

However, Manhart’s 2er will be using their own exhaust system, a KW suspension, in-house wheels and brakes. The best part will probably be the rear differential that can lock up to 100 percent, coming from QUAIFE.

It all sounds very good and, knowing what Manhart is capable of, we can’t wait to see the end product and its complete spec chart.
