Manchester United team players will wear their new Chevrolet-branded shirt for the first time during the club’s Chevrolet Cup match against the L.A. Galaxy on Wednesday at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The match will be broadcasted on a free live stream.
We already wrote about Chevrolet’s recently unveiled video teaser of the future kit Manchester United’s players will wear for the next seven years. Even though it will apply starting with 2014/2015 season, according to the team’s officials fans will be able to see it on Wednesday. To celebrate the occasion, Chevrolet said today, in a news press release, it would offer a free live stream of the match to fans around the world at their website.

Seeing our partnership with Manchester United come to life in a match is a huge moment for the brand and we want to share it with the club’s 659 million followers around the world,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing. The match and live stream will begin at 4:30 p.m. EDT and is free of charge.

Besides the video teaser, Chevrolet also kicked off its seven-year shirt sponsorship with Manchester United on Jul 7 by inviting fans around the world to upload photos of themselves wearing a digital version of the new shirt from their website and share it via their social channels.

According to the American automaker, they will continue to celebrate its collaboration with the renown British soccer team over the next month. On August 2, Chevrolet will be the presenting sponsor of Manchester United’s first-ever match in Michigan, at the University of Michigan’s “Big House” in Ann Arbor vs. Real Madrid. The match is part of the 2014 Guiness International Champions Cup. Michigan Stadium is the largest one in the U.S.

The company is also planning a memorable moment for fans at Manchester United’s 2014-15 opening Premier League match on Aug 16 at Old Trafford against Swansea City FC.
