Man Takes His Taxi Driver to Ferrari World Because He Never Afforded Going Himself

Would you pay the entrance ticket at an amusement park for a stranger? This guy did, and it wasn’t just any entertainment facility, but the recently opened Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi. The kind gesture itself is adorable, but that’s not the best part of the story.

Liam Murphy from Cork, Ireland was on a work trip to Dubai when he decided to take a day off to the Ferrari World theme park in Abu Dhabi on Monday. On the way, he started a conversation with his Indian taxi driver Shakiha. Since they had enough time to get to know each other, the Irish man found that the guy had been working in the United Arab Emirates for 14 years, sending home money to his family in India. He also said he never had the chance to go inside the park.

It turns out the cab driver would always wait outside until customers would come back, yet never went inside himself. Murphy couldn’t leave things like that, so he decided to make Shakiha’s day. He paid the 250AED ($68) for an extra ticket and off they went. The big-hearted fellow later posted a couple of images with him, and his new friend quoting:

Got a taxi from Dubai to Abu Dhabi today. Indian taxi driver living here 14 yrs yet was never in Ferrari World. He was going to wait in the car for 4 hrs. Today I made his dreams come true for the laugh. ‘I will pray God for you sir’. Some craic with the hoore all day. His first ever roller coaster ride was on the fastest in the world. ‘I do not feel well sir’. Shakiha will sleep well tonight.

To be honest, the experience must have been a blast, considering we are talking about the first and only Ferrari-branded theme park and largest indoor theme park in the world. Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest roller coaster, is also located here.
