Love will save the world and make it better, some people like to say. Others, simply spend their lifetime proving that. But this piece is about neither of these demographics, as it instead tells the story of a man that loves his girlfriend so much, he’d do anything to fulfill her dreams.
So you’re spending this entire day hating everything around because it seems like the world plotted against you’re happiness. It’s like you’ve spent the last week or so off work, getting back to your humanity and now suddenly society comes in and ruins everything, asking you to be efficient. But then, we come in and tell you this beautiful story, restoring your faith in humanity.

Several pictures with an odd couple hitting the road have leaked online and now became quite viral around China. The images show a man riding a bicycle, pulling his wheelchair-bound girlfriend and a fluffy dog assisting them. The point? Well...love. The couple have recently embarked in the trip they have been dreaming for, a journey that will take them across the country.

The young man, Ding Yizhou from Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Province, is using a mountain bike for the trip and a “working dog”, to make his girlfriend’s dream come true. The poor girl is suffering from hereditary cerebellar ataxia, a condition that leaves her unable to walk or eat properly.

That’s about the moment when you get teary eyed. But you shouldn’t, at least not yet, since the story gets even better.

You see, their plan is not just about making a wish come true, but also about making a point, since their road trip route is shaped as a heart. Even though they might not make it, Ding said that the pursuit of their dream is more important than the actual success.
