How strong is you core? One man has proved that he can do the nearly-impossible by performing a seemingly gravity-defying plank while riding the bus. You know, as one does.
Truth be told, this isn’t your regular guy: Vincent Bouchard, from Quebec, Canada, is an experienced gymnast and fitness fanatic, who constantly entertains his followers on social media with his impressive strength through a variety of tricks, the Daily Mail reports. Still, that doesn’t mean that his latest isn’t worth a notice, at the very least.
“My friends asked me to do a trick in the bus then that came into my mind,” the 25-year-old says. So he came up with the idea for a plank that will give you serious fitness inspiration. For after Christmas or the New Year, or whenever. You can also see it in the video at the bottom of the page.
Vincent hooked his wrists through the bus hand holders and then lifted himself up in the air, letting his entire weight be supported by his wrists alone. He too was having some trouble holding the position, but he managed to do it long enough for his mates to issue loud cheers to support him.
That’s one way to make your commute more lively, you have to give him that. It sure beats seeing only angry faces or people rambling senselessly or causing a scene.
As noted above, Vincent is an experienced gymnast, who also has about 10 years of crossfit under his belt and another 4 years of calisthenics, a special type of gymnastics that blends grace of movement with strength.
In the past, his stunts have included doing planks on snow, on top of other people or on fences at the side of the mountains. He’s not your regular commuter, but he sure does make the ride more… interesting, to put it lightly.
