Man Leaves Baby in Car, Goes to a Strip Club

When a man gotta go, a man gotta go... You're driving around, in the middle of the night, with your 1-year old seating in the back of the car. As the city lights pass by, your mind wonders adrift and there she is: your wife. Oh, how you loath seeing her wrinkled face night, after night, after night...

Luckily, the city lights slowly crawl together to form the silhouette of a woman. Lit in pink, the neon lady dances with lecherous moves, inviting you through the door of an establishment called Strip Club.

You pull over, right under the neon woman. You look at the child on the back seat, as if trying to make sure it is unable to recognize the joint. Good, he's asleep. Two short beeps let you know the car is locked and the baby is safe. Strip ladies, here I come!

A few hours later, after seeing more skin than you did in the last decades, a police officer steps in, takes you to the side and speaks out those dreaded words: "You are under arrest!"

The place is New Zealand and the above digression is an account of a real event. A 42 year old man has been arrested in Wellington for leaving a child under 14 without reasonable supervision, while he was enjoying the moves and touches of strippers.

The child was taken into custody by The Child, Youth and Family agency for five days and its future is yet to be decided.
