MAN Latin America Supply Award Announced

It's the end of another year (although there is still a month left, everybody seems to be in quite a hurry to put an end to 2010), so, as we are already used to, all sorts of tops, charts and awards are announced.

The automotive industry, with its newly found appeal for life, is perhaps more anxious than ever to award and reward all those who helped it climb back on top. And what better and indispensable aids than the automotive suppliers?

The Latin America division of MAN, one of the manufacturers of commercial vehicles and diesel engines, announced today the recipient of the 2010 Supply Award: Remy International. Remy supplies MAN with starters, alternators and magnetic switches which are used by the manufacturer in Volkswagen branded trucks, buses, and special vehicles manufactured in Brazil.

The award is the third one received by Remy from MAN, with the previous two achievements being recorded in 2005 and 2006.

"We are honored to receive this award. Remy has always been driven by a passion for excellence.  Receiving the MAN Latin America Supply Award is an example of that passionate drive and the result of delivering world-class design, manufacturing and service to our customers," said Bernardo Milioni Garcia, Remy Sales and Applications senior manager for Brazil and South America.

For Remy, 2010 proved to be a friendly year, a perfect continuation of the previous two. The supplier managed to record an annual growth rate of more than 40 percent since 2007 in South America, making it one of the biggest players on the local market.
