"You don’t know what you have until it’s gone", that is what the father of Reddit user Deletraz thought the moment he found that the 1967 Ford Anglia he left to rot in the forests behind his birth home in Eastern Finland, was still there 40 years later. The family was talking about cars last weekend, when the father said his old car was probably sitting right where he left in 1974.
When the Finnish man heard his father talking about the classic Ford left in the woods, he decided to check the story and see if the car is still there. Even though the forest has slowly been growing in the last 40 years, they did find the car. The Ford was in better shape than anyone expected, even having most of the glasses and lights intact.

According to Bored Panda, Deletraz explained that the car’s engine had failed because water from the radiator had gotten into the vehicle’s cooling channels and when it froze there, it cracked the engine block. The nights there can reach temperatures of -5 Fahrenheit (-20 C).

Even though the man moved from his parents’ house, the property was never sold and today, after his parents died and his family members moved away, all that remained on it was left untouched. The Finnish family even planes to find a way to get inside the car and see how its interior looks today.

Question left to ask, is whether you ever abandoned a car somewhere away from the street. If so, maybe you should check if it's still there...
