Recently introduced on the Malaysian market, the E70 X5 is already a big seller in the South-Eastern Asian country, despite its price of $190.000 (€145,000).
The current BMW X5, the E70, is turning 7 this year and is heading for the last year of production, the new F15 X5 already being tested by the German engineers, as we already saw.
However, there are still 2 more years in which Malaysian Bimmer fans can buy the X5 and that's why BMW decide to introduce the X5 Performance Edition on the Malaysian market.
This new version has the M Sport aerodynamics package, 20" M Sport alloy wheels, M Sport leather wrapped steering wheel, paddle shifters and Individual Piano Black trims. The engine is an improved version of the N55 3-liter turbocharged 6-cylinder petrol engine that improves the 0 to 100 km/h from the xDrive35i's 6.8 seconds to 6.6 seconds.
New features like the Top View display rearview camera, BMW's Professional Navigation System, Bluetooth, on-board internet, USB connectivity and the new iDrive system will also be available on the new X5.
