Riding off the road with your friends is obviously cool, especially if you're not afraid to get a little dirty. And since dirt bikes are so compliant and deliver thrilling amounts of torque, it's only natural that funny ideas come to mind.

Crossing streams, jumping over ditches, burnouts in deep mud, drifting and so many more, they're all cool and enticing. However, when makeshift makes its way to the obstacle course, things may get a bit iffy from a safety point of view.

You may already ride havoc all over the place, but safety is still a thing to be considered. And especially when deciding to build a makeshift ramp, you'd better make sure the materials used can stand the powerful impact of a bike barging into its base. If weak parts are used, then you're heading the right way for YouTube and a memorable laugh.

Good thing this chap wears a full-face MX helmet, or else we'd have also seen a toothless smile.
