The 2020/2021 Christmas and New Year celebrations are officially over, but that doesn’t mean the party shouldn’t go on with more good news. For example, 2021 Ford Bronco aficionados recently received great news from Maisto, in the form of teasers for upcoming 1:24 scale models.
With the Blue Oval building hype for the reinvented 2-Door and 4-Door 2021 Bronco in July 2020, many months in advance of its official introduction, it’s easy to understand why patience is running thin among fans.
And seeing that production and delivery dates have been postponed by a few months certainly hasn’t helped the automaker’s case. Still, Bronco enthusiasts have a few easy ways of venting off excess steam. They could head up to a cohort of auction outlets and snatch an example off the used car market.
They could even ponder on the benefits of rooting for a rivaling carmaker when spotting one of the prototypes. Or they could endure the long wait with some playful scale model interaction. The only problem, as far as Maisto’s 1:24 scale models are concerned, is that we’re not (yet) being told when they’ll be up for grabs.
For now, all we have to contend to are some social media teasers depicting the company’s upcoming new series of die-cast models – a couple of 2-Door 2021 Broncos in Cyber Orange and Area 51 attire.
Information is scarce at this point and we have no idea about the price or time of release. We don’t even know if there are any plans for more colors, a 4-Door scale model, or different versions (fans seem to be mostly interested in the 1:18 model).
Although it would have been great for the company to time its release along with the first deliveries of the 2021 Bronco, we really hope they’ll come out with the scale model versions earlier than next summer. Perhaps, unlike the Blue Oval, Maisto will be able to bring the 1:24 Bronco according to its original, springtime release schedule. We’re clearly rooting for the latter variant!
UPDATE: Maisto continues the teasing game with a new variant, the Maisto Special Edition 1:24 scale 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands in Carbonized Gray. Check it out from all angles in the updated image gallery above.
