Mahindra Pik-Up Facelift Launched in Australia

Indian manufacturer Mahindra announced today the release of the new generation Pik-Up truck, bringing along new safety features such as ABS, dual airbags, as well as interior and exterior enhancements.

With its new look and attractive features, the Next Generation Pik-Up is no exception and demonstrates our commitment to growing our brand further in the Australian market, which is of strategic importance to us," Pravin Shah, Mahindra Australia director said.

The facelift given to the Pik-Up include a new grille, new wrap-around bumpers and new bonnet scoop. Mahindra added sports headlights, fog lamps as well as pull-type door handles. The Pik-Up is also being offered in a new body color, Toreador Red.

On the interior, the Pik-Up received ergonomically designed seats, a 2-Din audio containing a stereo system with full CD / MP3 player and radio, USB and SD card port. Mahindra takes great pride in providing the Pik-Up with a new... hand brake and gear lever.

The car is based on, or should we say is the same as the previous version, as far as platform and engine are concerned. The load tray dimensions of a 1.725 m³ of double-walled tray for the single cab, and 1.125m³ for the dual cab. The Pik-Up is powered by a 2.5l common rail diesel, developing 106 hp and 247 Nm of torque, mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
