With the prototype of the Ronin imagined more than 2 years ago, it looks like this unbelievably evil bike has finally made it into the real life. Derived from a Buell 1125R, the Magpul Ronin emphasizes both the racing heritage of the (now reborn) Buells and the awesome way usual things can change into wonderful ones.
Built by Mike Mayberry, industrial designer for gun-related gear company Magpul, the Ronin brings more than a nice shape into the game: an all-new girder fork, unique-design seat and tail, offset radiator and a shave-off around 50 lbs (22.6 kg). The Ronin now weighs 413 lbs (187 kg) with a full tank and that's really awesome, if better acceleration and speed are needed.
Magpul Ronin is a limited-run bike: only 47 will be manufactured, and the rumored price is around €30,000 ($39,950). With Buell coming back to life, we might get a chance to see such fantastic projects becoming more popular. And that would be as cool as the Ronin itself.
