What is arguably the best windshield wiper/washer system on any passenger car, the Magic Vision Control from the Mercedes-Benz SL Roadster R231, will soon be available on the S-Class W222 as well.
With tiny water nozzles that are included on each side of the wiper blade itself, the system has a number of benefits compared with a conventional one.
First of all, instead of impairing the driver's field of vision with a splash of water, the Magic Vision Control system directs the tiny water jets right where they are needed, in front of the wiper blades.
Second of all, the system uses much less water than regular ones, as the quantity of fluid is more precisely measured and it's only used if necessary, also leading to a reduction in weight.
Last, but not least, the wiper fluid is heated in the winter, so not only badly soiled windshields but also chunks of ice can be swiped clean thanks to the Magic Vision Control system.
According to MB Passion, the new Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG will receive the technology in standard, with all the other models getting it only as an option.
